Its true. Whoever or whatever u remember at the last moments of yr life, u will attain after death. Gandhiji remember Lord Rama, he must have gone to abode of Lord Rama. But its not easy to remember God at last moments, bcoz when yr soul is getting out yr body, its a very horrible condition to contemplate, u may have many unfulfilled worldly materialistic desires. That's why it is preached in Hindu myth and now too that make efforts to remember God in each and every condition that u may pray God at last moments. It is also said that u dont know how would be yr last moments may be natural and comfortable or otherwise. Gandhiji could practice all along his last years of life and when it was unfortunate moment, he remembered God. It is also not that its not possible people unlike Gandhiji. Hindu way of life is so developed that you are so naturally trained from yr very early childhood that u remember God in yr each and every act. Despite all, there is a great influence of Maya - materialistic world over us and that too in Kaliyuga.
